Building a Stronger Math Community: Our New Partnership to Bring Math 24 to Durham

The Math 24 Game holds a special place in our hearts, evoking memories of childhood filled with friendly competition, problem-solving, and a love for learning. This game blends creativity, wit, and determination—qualities that have shaped our resilience and intellectual curiosity. That's why we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Mr. Robert Sun, the inventor of Math 24, as we launch a countywide Math 24 campaign in Durham County.

Our enthusiasm is fueled by the growing interest in Math 24 at the schools we work with, particularly through our after-school STEAM program and the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom School program. What started as a small pilot last year has since become a favorite activity for 3rd-5th grade students in more than five elementary schools. Witnessing this success has inspired us to partner with Math 24 and expand its impact, bringing this engaging game to all Durham elementary and middle schools.

As part of this partnership, we’re offering Math 24 card decks through our online store at a special discounted price, exclusively available in North Carolina through us. We are also excited to become the official host of Math 24 tournaments across the state.

To kick off our campaign to improve math skills in Durham, we’ll be hosting the first-ever countywide Math 24 tournament at the end of April for 3rd to 8th graders. Additionally, we’ll provide free live demonstrations to show teachers how to introduce the game in their classrooms in a fun and engaging way. Through this initiative, we aim to increase excitement around Math 24, improve math literacy in Durham, and inspire more children to discover the joy of math.
